The staff were great and the beds were comfortable, but our double queen room was extremely small. Two lamps had burned out bulbs, and the bathroom lighting was very dim. Breakfast was about as basic as it gets: tasteless eggs, sausage links that were heated but not browned, and dried-out potato cubes. Oatmeal would have been nice.

The cost of the stay made the lack of basic conveniences especially frustrating. The vending machines weren’t working, so there was no easy way to get a snack or drink, especially later in the evening. The alternatives were very limited and expensive. Eight dollars for two candy bars felt unreasonable, and gave the impression that guest convenience wasn’t a priority. I don’t usually write reviews, but the hotel didn’t seem fully in working order, and the experience fell well below what I expected for the price. It’s hard to feel satisfied when the basics aren’t covered. I hope management looks at these issues and how they affect guests who might otherwise return.

The room was smaller than most places we stayed at this price during our three-week trip, and there wasn’t enough water pressure to shower. The ice machine on our floor was working. The halls, lobby, and common areas were way too hot. Maybe booking through a third party had something to do with the bad experience. I don’t think we’ll stay again.

The main reason I booked was the hot tub, because my muscles were sore from driving my team truck. I’m parked at Pilot and could have had a bed and bathroom without paying for a hotel, so I was really looking forward to a soak, decent breakfast, and a cold room. The hot tub had been empty for weeks and was going to stay that way for several more. That was a big disappointment. For about $240 for two nights, Saturday and Sunday, the bed, bath, service, and cleaning were good. The pool was clean and not cold. But the food and drinks were awful: watered-down juice, watery eggs, sausage sitting in water, no biscuits, and rock-hard white bread. The air conditioning was mediocre too. I set it to 64 the first night, but the room never got cold, and I sweated without a blanket. It was cool the second night because it was cold outside. The TV had lots of channels, but every one seemed to have a million commercials. Hotels know people are looking for a relaxing place. They should say online and wherever reservations are made, by phone too, that the hot tub isn’t working and breakfast and air conditioning have these problems. Otherwise the price should be dirt cheap, since you’re not getting the luxury. There are other hotels for the same price with a good breakfast, good AC, and a working hot tub. I don’t usually leave reviews like this, but people should know before spending their money. If you just need a good bed and tend to get cold, this room may suit you. If you want breakfast, a hot tub, or a cold room because you run hot, look elsewhere.
