Motel 6 Bozeman, MT

The staff were super friendly and the room was very clean, though it was definitely worn out. The bed wasn’t comfortable, and the only bedding was a sheet and thin top cover, so we were chilly. The window screen was broken too. The area felt questionable at best. There were meth heads outside the side door and strange men in the parking lot looking inside cars. It’s much more affordable than other hotels nearby, and it is clean, but don’t expect to feel completely safe.

The building could use some renovations, though the staff were polite and helpful and the bed was comfortable. The shower was odd, small, and round. I just needed somewhere to sleep while traveling, and it did the job for the night. The price seemed a little high, though hotels in Montana have cost more than in other states I’ve visited. The room was $125, or around $140 after all the fees.

I cancelled my reservation at this nasty, unprofessional location. I called this morning and spoke with the night auditor to ask about an early check-in. He raised his voice and aggressively told me they don’t do early check-ins. There’s a way to speak to someone, and that wasn’t it. He obviously wasn’t raised right. I’d also called earlier and spoken with the Gen Mgr., who was just as rude. I contacted Corporate about the property this morning, and they were concerned and not amused by my experience. They assured me they’d do a full investigation. Hopefully both employees lose their jobs.

Check-in was smooth, and coffee was available in the morning, but this was below what I expected from a Motel 6. The non-smoking room smelled like an ashtray, and there were small damages that needed fixing. We’re non-smokers and couldn’t stand the smell, so we burned a candle we happened to have with us. We probably won’t stay here again.
