Check-in was easy, and the woman at the desk was polite and professional. The room, though, had several large roaches, and the ceiling showed water damage under so much paint that it was bubbling. Fixture handles were falling apart. When running, the AC smelled strongly of must, mildew, and feet. The alarm clock kept switching through random modes, so we unplugged it. I don’t know whether renovations were going on, but the quality felt like a run-down roadside motel. Charging over $200 a night is ridiculous.

After long days visiting a family member at Blake hospital, the comfortable bed and convenient location made it easier to unwind. The only issue was the bathtub drain, which didn’t work at all. I showered while the tub filled because there wasn’t time to call maintenance that morning. I told the desk at checkout, and they apologized.

The lobby smells so nice, and check-in was easy with friendly staff. Breakfast had lots of choices and was better than breakfasts I’ve had at other hotels. There are plenty of good local restaurants, and Walmart and Publix are nearby if you forgot something.

The room smelled dirty, and the carpet was damp and sticky. Dust was everywhere. There was something on the wall by the bed near the window that looked like spit or some kind of bodily fluid. The lobby and hallways weren’t clean either.
