My friend ended up staying here after my reservation was canceled, and the room she got was awful. The door was broken and took a shove with your whole body to open. Inside, dead bugs were piled behind the door and on the air conditioner, the curtains were full of holes, the couch was stained and dirty, and dust and dirt covered everything. There was just one very dim lamp. She asked for a refund and booked elsewhere for the night. The listing photos look fairly nice, but clearly haven’t been updated in years. I’d booked through Choice hotels with two dogs listed, but on the way there on 9/20/25 I got a call asking their weights. I said 20 and 25 pounds, and was told my reservation would be canceled because they didn’t meet the 25-pound restriction. I still don’t understand how a 25-pound dog is over the 25-pound limit. In the end, I was able to book another hotel, so the cancellation was a blessing in disguise.

I was stuck in Brockway after being on the road all night in a storm and couldn’t make it to Altoona in time, so this place was a useless alternative. At 4 a.m. on New Year’s Eve I was standing in an empty lobby. A sign said “back in 15-30 mins” and listed a number that was on Do Not Disturb. Manager, you really need to pay attention to what’s going on here. I get wanting to link up with the lot lizards on New Year’s, but don’t put up fake signs assuming nobody will show. I’ll never come back. Get it together, geez.

I couldn’t get my own room key, so every time I went out and came back I had to ask the woman at the front to let me in. They told me a lot of the rooms are like that. I asked for my money back, and we’ll see how long that takes. The girl working seemed really nice, but overwhelmed.

They canceled my reservation without telling me. The parking lot was a bombed-out crater, and with nobody at the counter, check-in and room reservations were supposed to happen through a website. The site didn’t work.
