Breakfast really needs work. My partner and I stayed one night, and although the room was basic, the bigger problem was the advertised hairdryer that didn't work. I went down to ask for help, but they had no replacement or other solution, so I left with soaking wet hair. At minimum, I expected a portable dryer. There's definitely room for improvement.

The rooms are really dated, there are several safety hazards, and the front desk isn't open around the clock. I also had trouble with a woman at the desk who was rude and kept changing the price from one day to the next, insisting I pay whatever amount she named without explaining it. That's very unprofessional. Google should review this listing and update it right away.

The outside looks a bit rough, but the rooms inside are clean and nicer than you might expect. We can see the owners working to improve them each year, and this time the beds were the surprise. They were incredibly comfortable. My bride and I have adjustable beds at home, and hotel beds have been hard or the pillows flat for years. I slept like a baby, woke rested, and had a great weekend. We come every year for the "World Championship BBQ Goat Cookoff" and book the Golden Key because it's a family-owned small business that keeps getting better. The bed felt like a grandmother's hug. I hope the Chamber, Golden Key, and Mi Pueblo 2 can put together a package for vendors booking for the 2026 "World Championship BBQ Goat Cookoff".

For the price in Brady, this place is hard to beat, especially if you don't want to spend $200 a night at the Holiday Express. It's not a five-star hotel, but the rooms are always clean, the bed is comfortable, and the shower, TV, fridge, and microwave all work. Great value for money. I stay here every time I'm in Brady.
