Sunset Inn

The room worked well for a one-night stay, and it was handy having a McDonald's next door, Starbucks across the street, and a food mart beside Starbucks. What stood out most was the owner, Dharmin, helping me with a few things he really didn't have to. He's a great guy and runs a clean hotel with a friendly atmosphere.

We've been at the Sunset Inn for over a month while my fiancé works in Brady. The staff are wonderful, super nice, and the family-oriented atmosphere is just what we love. Whenever we're back in Brady, we'll definitely stay at the Sunset Inn again!

There are plenty of security cameras around the property, and the outside lighting is good after dark. Inside, the rooms are comfortable, clean, and recently renovated. The staff are friendly, with Walmart close by, a McDonald's next door, and other restaurants nearby. It's a great small-town inn for a stop in this area, and I'll come back.

We spotted a bed bug on my bag shortly after putting it in the room, so we left right away and did not stay there. Before that, the shower had flooded the bathroom and leaked into the room. We had been given the last available room, a handicap room near the office, and it had seemed fine at first. Since it was late, we had planned to ask for a room change in the morning. Management handled things professionally and gave us a refund, which we appreciate. I know inspections can miss visible signs, and bed bugs can be hard to detect and may spread beyond one room. Broader treatment is considered best practice, with heat treatment widely recognized as the most effective approach. We stayed at another hotel afterward and had no problems. I don't usually write reviews, but I wish I'd known about these issues beforehand so I could have avoided the experience.
