The resort is tucked away enough to feel like a real up-north getaway. We listened to loons, caught beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and had plenty of chances to enjoy the outdoors. Bay Lake has lots of fish, which is great for families and kids just wanting to catch something, though some may find the fish size a little tough. The cabins are roomy, with several beds and bathrooms, and stocked with plenty of useful amenities. There's a nice pool and hot tub, plenty of fire pits, a beach and swim area, boat dock access with power, and a general store with a good selection of things you might need. We were there for the weekend for a bass tournament series and were very happy with the stay. It's about as close to perfect as you could ask for. I'd recommend it for a family getaway.

Kevin and Patty keep making improvements to the resort, with upgrades year after year, and their family-run place feels inviting. We've stayed at Woodland Beach Resort for nearly thirty years and look forward to returning annually. The cabins are clean, comfortable, and up to date, with lovely views and access to Bay Lake. The lake is great for fishing and boating, with a scenic backdrop. We've been happy with every stay and can't wait for the next one.

We spent New Year's at the resort and had a great time, even without snow or ice. Patty and Kevin were wonderful hosts and available whenever we had questions or needed something. Our cabin had a lovely lake view, was clean and modern, and had everything we wanted. It was well equipped for cooking, with comfortable beds and plenty of blankets and pillows. We loved sitting by the fireplace in the evening. We're renting a cabin for a week this summer with our daughter and her family, and can't wait.

Seeing the northern lights from our deck was a magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience. We spent a wonderful week at Woodland Beach Resort, and the kids played for hours on the new play set. We'd highly recommend this family-friendly resort.

The area is lovely for a quiet walk, and this time of year it's so peaceful. We had a fantastic New Year's Eve at Woodland Beach Resort. Our beautiful cabin had everything we needed for the weekend, and we celebrated the New Year at The Retreat Lodge, where we also watched football on the 85” TV. Patty and Kevin are great hosts. We look forward to going back in summer.
