Extended Stay America Boston-Braintree

I usually stay at ESA hotels around the US, and you can’t beat the value and cleanliness. I’m in Norwood, MA for training and drove over to check out the Braintree Extended Stay America before booking two weeks there. Wilson at the front desk stopped what he was doing to show me a room when I asked. He’s a good man who cares about people. It was clean and more than acceptable for my budget and two-week stay. The location is right off the expressway, which is very convenient.

Traveling alone, it means a lot to be treated well, and Jessica Garcia and Amanda Brown did exactly that. They were friendly, remembered my name, and went beyond what I expected to keep everything hassle free. The room was great and very clean, and they promptly answered all my questions. My stay was perfect, and I’ll recommend this hotel to everyone I know.

Kim called the next day to apologize sincerely and explain that I’d been mistakenly assigned a room that wasn’t meant to be occupied. I hadn’t reported the room issue the night before because it was late and I was exhausted. Kim handled it professionally, took responsibility, and gave me a full refund, which I appreciated. The situation was unexpected, but I was very satisfied with the response. Communication and customer service were excellent.

The non-smoking room we were moved to smelled strongly of weed. We gave my wife her medicine, then booked another place and got out of there. We’d booked Extended Stay for a full fridge and kitchenette so we could cook, and because the price was good, but nothing went right. We arrived the evening of February 24th to a mostly unplowed lot, with shovels left out so guests could dig their own parking spots. We found one that wasn’t too bad. The hotel was advertised as newly renovated, but it was still being renovated, with tools, ladders, caution tape, and unfinished work lying around. We were pressed for time because my wife needs her medicine at the same time every night, so we hurried to the room with our pets. There was a bag of chips and a plate on the kitchen table, then we noticed people’s belongings. It was someone else’s room, and thankfully they weren’t there. The front desk associate, who had been hiding in the back throughout this saga, came out on a video call. She set down her phone while still on the call and asked what was wrong. She took the keys back without apologizing for sending us into a stranger’s room, then seemed annoyed there wasn’t another room of the same type and she had to find something else. I wanted to leave and get a refund, but we needed privacy to give the shot. When we left, I told her she could have the room back. She just said, “okay have a good day.” On the way to the car, we saw someone stuck in a parking spot, shoveling themselves out. We had no reason to use the service and shouldn’t have to pay for it, so I’m disputing the charge with my credit card company. Don’t book here.
