The room was nicely laid out, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet and peaceful. Joe made the stay stand out, responding promptly when I needed something and being easy to talk with. I noticed that other guests also speak highly of him, and that’s what prompted me to write. The owner should know what a difference Joe’s hard work and decency make. I saw the motel’s high Google score, and I can see why. Thank you for a great stay.

Really clean, comfortable, and affordable. The rooms look newly renovated, with new beds and a nice big smart flat screen. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to make the stay comfortable. Prices are some of the best around. Five stars, highly recommend.

I paid $90 for a room without toilet paper, which is such a basic thing to miss. I mentioned it the next day after leaving at 5:30 am, once I figured the manager would be awake. They apologized and said they couldn’t believe they’d forgotten. I couldn’t believe it either. I saw an online photo with a metal holder on the toilet tank, but there was no holder in my room. Maybe it had been taken down for cleaning, though I don’t know. I’d booked from midnight to 5:30 while passing through, and called ahead to check I could get in. The lockbox worked. The manager and I exchanged texts, I sent a photo of my ID, asked about security, and got the needed information promptly. The sheets were clean and the shower was hot. The floor was gritty and needed a sweep and mop, but I was there for only six hours and it cost about $40 less than other nearby options, so I could live with that. The worn, colorful towels looked like they came from Grandma's closet in the 70's. Odd, but they didn’t bother me much. The room was still nicer than many gas station and hiking trail bathrooms I’ve seen, where you can’t count on toilet paper. There were some guests chatting by a bonfire outside. It looked fun, but I was tired, so I shut the windows and got some quiet. Even so, I can’t recommend the motel. I’d also seen replies to other negative reviews that seemed like overreactions, including talk of calling police and banning people from the whole region. If I’d read those first, I probably would have stayed elsewhere. It struck me as defensive. Most hotels just say something like, “Sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay,” and leave it there.

The GM made our late arrival easy, sending the lockbox code by text. Communication was quick, polite, and clear. After a long hike, my son and I found the room clean and just right for what we needed. Basic amenities were nice, the beds were comfortable, and the shower was hot with good pressure. The price was great. We’d absolutely stay again, highly recommend.
