Baymont Inn & Suites Branford/New Haven

I was here for almost two weeks, and the staff made the whole stay feel five-star. They were always ready to help. I especially want to mention Dina, who went out of her way to help me find good restaurants and attractions nearby. Five stars all day.

I rented two rooms, one for my girlfriend and me and another for my daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. The rooms weren't cleaned properly, and after the first night nobody came to make up my room, even though the bathroom floor was dirty. There were no elevators, which was a problem with all the heavy luggage. I was very displeased and don't plan to return.

We stopped here late at night off I-95 with our dog. The pet fee was a reasonable extra $20, with no odd rules or clauses. The room was clean and reasonably comfortable, pretty much what you'd expect from a mid-range highway hotel. What really made us write this was the front desk and facility staff on duty that night. They noticed a light was on in our car and called our room to tell us, which saved the battery from running down by morning. We're really grateful they took the time.

I always stay at the Baymont when I'm traveling in the northeast part of CT. It's convenient to I 95 but still very quiet, and the rooms make for a restful stay. The beds are comfortable, the mini fridge and microwave are handy, and the showers are good quality. The staff are kind and supportive, with professional customer service. A very good business class hotel.
