The property is breathtaking, and the townspeople were so nice, with not an unfriendly soul around. The hostess and her dad were incredibly accommodating. She brought us a bucket of food for the animals and firewood, too. I loved the beautiful Smokehouse ranch and would highly recommend it for a country getaway far from your worries. We stayed in cabin 2, which is small, so a bigger group should choose one of the other units.

Our Labor Day weekend at the Smoakhouse was fabulous, even though Hurricane Dorian cut our visit short. I wanted somewhere peaceful to decompress and get away from everything, and it was just that. The animals were lovely to spend time with, especially Sir Don K, the sweetest donkey. We ate dinner in town and enjoyed both the food and the prices. Debbie was wonderful and checked whether we needed anything replaced or added; the refrigerator was stocked. I loved the stay and would definitely return. Thank you for your hospitality.

The cabin is such a welcome break from the city's busy pace, and the countryside is beautiful. Brittany was a fantastic hostess, making sure we had animal treats and anything else we needed. We had a great campfire and could just sit back and enjoy it all. We love this place for relaxing and unwinding, and we'll definitely be back.

We had a great stay with our family about half a week ago. While we were out, she changed our beds without us even asking and stocked the fridge with fresh eggs and food. We'd definitely come back next time we're in Florida.

We were excited to bring our animals to the Earl cabin during social distancing, but left soon after we arrived. The downstairs air wasn't working, and the place was dusty and dirty and badly needed cleaning, especially during COVID-19. There was no cell service for miles in case of an emergency. I left Debbie a message, but by the time she called, we were already home. Thankfully we weren't charged, though the five-hour round trip with dogs and kids was a lot. It could have been perfect, but it wasn't right for us.
