We booked three rooms for November 29th and 30th, 2025, and there were no updates to the rooms. They were clean, but one toilet seemed only 12 inches high. On the second night, another toilet kept running and its shutoff valve was broken. The pool heater wasn’t working, so the kids couldn’t swim in the freezing water. At breakfast, my daughter and I got our food after everyone else had finished. We first stayed here 10 years ago because it was near Silver Dollar City. It was old then too, but clean, and the arcade was a big hit with the grandkids. There’s no arcade now, just a bar with slot machines, which is great for adults but not so much for kids. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room was clean, parking was plentiful, and the woman at the front desk was helpful. Still, I felt uneasy for most of the stay. It’s an extremely old hotel that looks pretty shady, though nothing bad actually happened. Breakfast comes with $5 loaded onto a card, but there are only a few options. The servers seemed very upfront about expecting tips, which felt odd.

We keep choosing this place before visiting Silver Dollar City because the location saves us from the morning traffic into SDC. The carpet by our entrance was torn, but all in all we’d stay again. The complimentary hot breakfast has changed to a $5 voucher per person per day. Our first morning’s bill for two was $19 before tip. To be fair, one of us added cheese to the hashbrowns and the other ordered a side of gravy. We ate elsewhere the next day after using up the vouchers.

This is an older but nice motel, and it worked out as a decent place to stay while the guys worked on building the indoor pool at the New Silver Dollar City Resort. We were there for 12 days and nights. A few mornings I looked out the sliding door and saw a family of deer, which was lovely. It was also nice to have a mini fridge and microwave, though the fridge could be bigger for a longer stay. I ended up buying a tote from Dollar General next door for food and supplies. There were several local workers staying there, especially on weekends. We had room issues: the HVAC unit in our first room was frozen over, so we switched. The toilet in the second room kept running. Maintenance said it was fixed, but it started again after a flush, so we had to shut off the water overnight to sleep. Housekeeping never vacuumed the third-floor hallway while we were there. I kept our room picked up and changed our own towels and sheets to avoid having housekeeping come in. I also got a crackpot and made the guys a big pot of chili and beef stew so we wouldn’t have to eat out every day.
