There were plenty of nearby restaurants, and the hosts were easy to reach and really helpful. The cabin was easy to find in a quiet neighborhood, with the water just a couple minutes’ walk away. Our family of six had lots of room, a full kitchen with plenty of fridge space, and everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and seemed nearly new. Silver Dollar City was about a 15-minute drive, with Branson a little farther. We’d stay here again, especially for the value.

The setting was the best part for us. The dock has a huge swim platform that our dogs and the kids in our bigger group loved jumping from. There’s also a boat ramp, a rocky beach for wading, a fun volleyball court, and lots of grass for walking dogs. My parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews stayed in the big blue house, see Terry Olson's review. Cabin 17 is an older single-wide trailer with no frills, and the soft spots in the floor that other reviews mention are there. Still, it was clean, the central air kept it cold, and the shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. The fridge seemed warm on arrival, but after we stocked it, it cooled down and stayed that way. We were missing a coffee maker and some light bulbs, but I called and they brought them over in under five minutes. My partner, our two dogs, and I were comfortable with a functional place in a great location. If you want something updated or fancy, cabin 17 and maybe some others here may not suit you. If you care more about function than frills, it worked well for us.

We booked house #14 for a weekend in Branson to see shows, with two families staying there. The listing photos didn't seem current and felt misleading, possibly photoshopped or taken a while ago. The house was poorly maintained: bathroom leaks, drafty windows, a cheap $30 front-door lock, and a bathroom door whose lock didn't work. The second bathroom was tiny. The kitchen sink filter only dripped, there was no dishwasher, and the coffee maker was broken. Old shower heads had weak flow. The beds were awful, squeaky and noisy, with springs you could feel. They seemed at least 10 years old or just very cheap. After everyone woke up with backaches, we nearly checked out after one night. I wouldn't recommend this place. It needs about $10-15k in remodeling to become a good rental. Please do it.

Becky, the grounds supervisor, was kind and really tried to help. She contacted our host, Lily, who suggested we move, and our host apologized when I raised the problems. But we were traveling with disabled elderly people, and the alternative was up more than 20 stairs. My mother couldn't manage them and cried, then had blood pressure problems that required a paramedic during one of our outings. Lily was booked and couldn't find another option. She offered to refund the unused part of the stay if we went elsewhere, but in summer it wasn't realistic to find somewhere at the last minute. Given what happened and the condition of the property, we feel some of the cost should have been refunded. The cabin was run down outside, and the interior work looked very shoddy. Ants got into our food; the sofa beds were unusable because the mattresses were gross, with puke on one pullout. Our bed had stained bedding, the AC barely cooled, and there was a full bucket under the sink with foul-smelling water. Boards on one side of the deck were coming up. We felt let down, and the conditions caused health issues for our disabled parents. For more than $1,000, we felt overcharged and misled about the accommodations.

We had a relaxing family reunion weekend here. The rustic cabin was clean, and we made a bonfire every evening. The pontoon rental was a great deal, and we enjoyed swimming, fishing, and the lovely lake view from the boat dock. It’s a secluded place with no traffic to worry about around the kids. Most cabins back onto the park, where there are activities and a pool. The park was well maintained, and the open sightlines made it easy to keep an eye on the little ones. They especially loved the pool, twister slide, and playground.
