Candlelight Inn

The motel has been remodeled completely, from head to toe. The previous owners did a great job over the last year, and the new owner will keep things up and add or fix whatever’s needed. We have strict rules to help keep it clean, quiet, and up to high quality standards.

There’s plenty of room and storage, with comfortable beds, good furnishings, homey but upscale decorations, and a bathroom with a better-than-average layout, deep tub, and large vanity. The caring but cautious staff and security cameras are there if needed, though I haven’t seen any trouble. Parking is good, the area is well lit, and there’s a fitness room plus a pool and BBQ area with room for kids to run around. It’s close to everything, with free cable and Wi-Fi, and the price is great. I only wish breakfast were included, but with these amenities I’m not complaining. They could charge much more, but it feels like they care about fair prices and a quality stay. I’m picky, and I think this place is wonderful.

I had a horrible experience. The rooms rented nightly may be kept pretty nice, but the drug activity is bad, and roaches were in the AC units. The units leak badly, and black mold has just been painted over. People on meth run around as if they own the place, and I believe the maintenance staff are on meth too. It looks remodeled, but paint doesn’t make the mold go away. Cops are there every day. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, much less my dog. The people leaving good reviews are the ones who stay there.

We’re sad to see Robin and John go, and it feels unfair. They’ve been so nice and helpful while we’ve been here. During the latest tornado warning, they made sure we were safe and had everything we needed. This has been the best stay I’ve ever had, and the previous review was a lie.
