The hotel is in an amazing spot, within walking distance of the Dolly Parton Stampede, but the building and rooms disappointed us. Our room was over 80 degrees when we arrived even though the air was set to 62. We thought it might just take time to cool down, but it never did. There was a little box fan, which should have been a clue. Opening the room door helped, but who wants to sleep with a hotel door open? Definitely not us. The website said the pool and hot tub were open, but the hot tub is permanently closed, which was a letdown for us parents. The ice machine was broken, and the hotel wasn’t very clean overall. We were only there for two nights and barely spent time in the room because we had plans to go out, or we would’ve canceled. I probably won’t stay here again.

We stayed two nights in two rooms and had no trouble with the staff, pool, or rooms, despite getting anxious after reading some of the reviews. The pool was heated, and the pool area waterfall feature was running and clean. The hot tub didn’t work, but we already knew that. Our room was decent and clean, and housekeeping changed the towels and took out the trash after the first night, something even nicer hotels don’t always do daily. Breakfast was decent too, and the water was good hot and cold. We had no heating or air conditioning problems and used both. The desk staff were friendly, and we saw the maintenance man working both days. The ice machine worked, but we had to go to another building for it. The only fair complaint I found was that the backs of the remote controls were taped on. We’d stay again.

The staff were great, the hot breakfast was great, and our room was very clean. I booked this after searching for hotels with a jacuzzi and pool, though the jacuzzi wasn’t working and they had no plans to fix it. They should remove it as an option. Having one was a requirement for me when I booked ahead.
