I felt comfortable and safe here. The rooms were quiet and really clean, and the rates were affordable. Management was very good, too.

The rooms are spacious, and the price is good for this area, but they do feel dated. Michelle was wonderful. I was surprised to hear that staff inspect rooms every week. It seems to cater to foreign students, so perhaps there's a reason for that policy. The pool was closed because other guests hadn't followed the rules, which was disappointing. Kings needs to train its staff better in both procedures and customer service. After I jumped through hoops because of the staffing and training issues, nobody contacted me about the room we'd rented.

The pool was clean and nicely maintained, and our room was clean too. The hotel does show its age, though. Our first room didn't have pillow-top mattresses, so they moved us. With temperatures outside reaching 104 degrees, the outdated air conditioner couldn't keep our room cool because its vents stayed pointed at the ceiling. This morning I tucked tissues into the front of each vent bar to hold them facing forward, and that seems like it might help. I also didn't like the 24-hour advance cancellation policy. Before arrival might be one thing, but I felt pushed to pay for a second night because they couldn't guarantee we'd keep the same room. Still, it's nice seeing older hotels reopen, and I hope they do well.

We booked this inexpensive hotel at the last minute and it worked out well. The location could've been better, but most places were close enough to walk to, and even with traffic, getting around by car took under 10 minutes.

We were so uncomfortable that we left in the middle of the night. The place badly needs updating: the door still uses a key you insert into the knob, there's a big gap underneath that lets in hallway noise, conversations, and light at night, and the room had a giant tube TV with a VHS player.
