Thousand Hills Golf Resort

I wish we’d known before paying too much that the greens would be aerated in May, two months later than is typical elsewhere in Missouri. They were impossible to putt on. I’d have paid a little more to play the better-maintained course up the road if I’d known. The course we played yesterday already had perfectly smooth greens, with no sign of spring aeration.

Cabin 180 was beautiful and in a convenient spot close to everything, but bedbugs ruined my birthday. We had to throw everything away, and the property manager never responded about it. Airbnb did its best to help resolve the situation.

We had a promotional stay through bluegreen vacations, so I’m not sure what the condo would normally cost. The property was well maintained, with plenty of parking, and the screened balcony with a table and chairs was a lovely place for breakfast. There was also a full dining table and a small washer and dryer. Our one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit had lots of space, including a full kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, and a roomy living area with a sleeper couch and two recliners. The queen bed wasn’t comfortable for us, though we’re picky. The bathroom was small with little counter space. It had a jacuzzi tub with a shower head, but I didn’t use it because I usually worry about the cleanliness of those. The toilet was very low and small, which made it hard for me to get up, and I imagine it could be tough for older folks. I’d recommend this place if you want to stay off the beaten path.

This was probably the nicest RCI exchange room we’ve had. The unit had its own router and web login, so we didn’t have to rely on shared Wi-Fi. Chris at check-in was a sweetheart. The location is very central in Branson, and there’s a terrific golf course on site. I’ll definitely stay again.
