Westgate Branson Lakes Resort

The rooms were nice, the view was great, the price was reasonable, and the front office staff were friendly and helpful. Branson lakes resort was a great place for a weekend getaway, with lovely views and fun activities. Book online. Do NOT book by phone. Calling to reserve was a headache from the start. It was hard to reach the resort, with a 20-minute answering machine and a maze of buttons, and when I did get through, the person knew little about basic lodging details. I specifically asked for two connected rooms with two queen beds in each. The person on the phone said they had them, but on arrival we found that all the rooms had only one king bed. I understand a third-party call center handles bookings, and it clearly didn't know what the resort offered. Roy at the front office was as helpful as he could be and acknowledged that the call center staff weren't informed, but we still had to get a third room and pay quite a bit more than planned. More knowledgeable phone booking staff would have helped. I'm glad we have the internet, but I miss when you could dial one number and talk to someone at the actual place you were calling.

The condo was huge, very clean, and had an AMAZING lake view. Roy was kind and helpful at check-in, and explained the amenities and property well. We had fun playing mini golf and basketball on a nice January day. An indoor hot tub for the colder months would have made the stay perfect. Still, it was a wonderful visit, and I highly recommend the place.

We first stayed here for a week in 2025, enjoyed it so much that we came back at the same time of year in 2026. It's good for families, with enjoyable facilities and a beautiful spot overlooking the lake. The property feels safe and secure, and the security gate makes getting in and out easy. Downtown Branson is a quick drive, either up the highway or along the scenic lakeside route.

Our studio was comfortable, and we slept well and left rested the next morning after our one-night stay. The kitchen facilities were enough to make a satisfying dinner from our leftovers. We didn't get a chance to use the resort's other recreation facilities. I'd certainly return if the need comes up.
