Best Western Braselton Inn

I like how the hotel keeps finding ways to improve. The breakfast was wonderful, with outdoor tables and cloth tablecloths, and it's above average for free hotel food. The clean, tidy place has a modern feel, with a rock exterior and brass numbers. The owner was there, and manager Priya is very kind. This was my second stay, and we're already looking forward to the next one.

The rooms are in poor repair, and most days there really isn't a hot breakfast like they promise. Staff are extremely unprofessional and rude, especially manager Priya, and they compromise guests' personal information. I wish I could give this place no stars. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Hampton Inn, where the staff will make you feel welcome and comfortable.

I appreciated Priya's help with booking and how she handled the conflict, but I won't stay here again. She was helpful and nice to my father and me when we came a few days early so he could book the room using points and cash for my fiance and me, who was coming from out of state. I had talked up the adorable hotel and Priya before our stay, and expected the rooms to be cute too. On check-in day, I drove six hours to and from the ATL airport to pick up my fiance. At the desk, Kathy said she needed my credit card, though I don't have one. We'd arranged with Priya to use my father's card, and after some back and forth Kathy apparently called Priya, so we got checked in. If you bring a dog, you can only book a two queen room, so don't expect a king. The room was okay, but the bathroom was about the size of a small linen closet. You practically have to step into the bathtub just to shut the door, and it felt very claustrophobic. If you're not stick thin, you'll have a hard time in there. On my birthday, my fiance went to the lobby for breakfast for both of us, but was told he couldn't bring it back to our room for "health and safety reasons." Eventually he did bring me food, and it was just okay. I've stayed at lots of Best Western hotels, and this was by far the least friendly. It felt more like a motel 6 than a hotel owned by a company like Best Western. Priya gets five stars from me, but some of the other employees could use a class on respect and customer service. The rest of the stay was only okay.

Breakfast was really good, with biscuits and gravy, eggs, sandwiches, and more. The staff were friendly and helpful, and Priya is wonderful. The hotel is clean, nicely updated, and clearly run by someone who cares. Rates are reasonable too. I visit the area semi-regularly, and this is where I'll stay from now on.
