I barely slept because I was watching for the many roaches, flies, and other bugs. The mattresses were stained and dirty, the walls had roach feces and cobwebs along the ceiling, and there were water stains in the bathroom. The floor felt sticky, and the AC/heat unit smelled moldy. There was no coffee pot or Wi-Fi, and we couldn't get clean towels. The curtains wouldn't close properly, and I could hear noise from all the surrounding rooms at every hour. The key card locked us out and had to be reprogrammed. After we'd already stayed a night, I was told we were in the wrong room. I know better than to book here next time. If I could give it no stars, I would.

The shower was the only clean thing in the bathroom. The door and floor were dirty, and the place looked like it had never been cleaned. I also noticed the smoke detector had been removed. The room was clearly old and dated. The microwave, stovetop, and refrigerator seemed to be the newest things in it. The bed was very old and uncomfortable, and I found a bug crawling around this morning.

We pulled into the parking lot, took one look at the building, and decided there was no way we were staying. It looked like a homeless shelter and NOTHING like the pictures posted online. We had booked for the Covered Bridge Festival, but ended up parking and making a reservation at another motel 20 minutes up the road.

I tried for two weeks to get in touch, and Booking tried too, but nobody responded. The phone number doesn't work, and I couldn't reach them by phone, email, website, or Booking. It seemed super sketchy, so I didn't end up staying there. I don't trust people who won't respond. If there'd been an issue with my card, like an overcharge, how would I have sorted it out?
