Gold Point Resort Breckenridge by Vacatia

Gold Point Resort is a few miles out of town and about 1,000 feet higher, so give yourself a couple of days to adjust to the altitude. Public transportation will pick you up at the resort. We came for a family getaway and had two three-bedroom units plus a studio, with more than enough room. The three-bedroom units came with garages, and every bedroom had an ensuite. The units were huge, well equipped, and had lots of seating and a gas fireplace. Staff were very nice and helpful when we needed them. We also enjoyed the rec room in the main lodge, especially the pool table and shuffleboard. We had a great time and would absolutely stay again.

We came for a birthday weekend and loved the views and cozy units. Building one's hot tub looks out at breck mtn, and there are lots of neighborhood trails for walking. Being dog friendly is a big draw for us. Main Street is about six minutes away, and the kitchen had enough room for making breakfast.

That Lift Chair Swing was from 1964, which was cool, and it gave us a great view of the ski slopes. The studio itself got old fast since I had to sit on the bed all week. The neighbor's garage door opener was loud, the mini fridge had no freezer, and flushing meant holding the lever down for 30 seconds.

This is a motel, not a hotel. The walls are paper thin, the hot tubs are dirty, staff are nowhere to be seen, the heaters only partly work, and amenities are broken. If you like itchy water that foams up with human waste, this is the place. What do they expect people to do when there are no bathrooms or showers near a hot tub? And they call it a resort. Lmao.
