The ski-in/ski-out setup made it easy to get straight onto the mountain, and the ski valet meant we didn’t have to haul our gear back and forth. With several lifts nearby, we could choose what suited the conditions, our skill levels, or the kind of day we wanted. Peak 8 childcare is close, which was a huge help with the kids and lessons. We were there at Christmas, and the kids got to see Santa, too. Inside, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, with a thoughtful layout that made it easy to unwind after a cold day. The kitchen had high-end appliances and was well equipped. The whole place felt upscale while still working well for families. One Ski Hill Place was a fantastic base for skiing in Breckenridge, and we’ll absolutely be back.

Zack and JC at the ski valet were great and helped us with whatever we needed. The facilities were a welcome treat after a full day on the slopes, and the location is hard to beat. The only snag was that the ice machine in our room didn’t work. Still, we had an awesome time.

The view toward the mountain was spectacular, and the outdoor hot tub at sunset was wonderful. Check-in was perfect, and the room had everything a guest could want, though the bed is due for replacement. Breakfast was a different story: I ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns, and toast, and the food looked and tasted like it came from yesterday’s buffet at a one-star restaurant. I even found a hair in the eggs. The owners and GM have work to do to fix the atrocious food service. I save one-star ratings for special occasions.

Mac at the front desk saved my two-bedroom, two-condo booking for a family ski trip. I nearly canceled because of problems with the outside booking, and though that was my fault, he found a way to sort it all out. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and efficient, and made everything quick and easy. It was a busy time, but Mac handled it without a problem. The hotel is fortunate to have him, and I’ll book directly next time.

Savannah was wonderful when my boyfriend and I stopped by the restaurant lounge this afternoon. She suggested drinks and made us great ones. I’m new to whiskey, so I tried a whiskey version of my favorite Moscow mule, then ordered an old fashioned for the first time. I’d recommend her 100%, and hope management gives her the recognition she deserves. Thanks so much, Savannah, from your favorite Texans.
