I had a good stay here a few years ago, from the service to the room, but it seems to be under new management now. We tried it again this week while in the area and were disappointed. My wife, baby and I booked one non-smoking room with a king bed. The service felt odd, and though the door said non-smoking, the room reeked of smoke and ashtray fumes. The bed was nowhere near king size, maybe a full. The shower wouldn't get hot, there was mold in the bathroom, and a broken window had been taped together. We'll look elsewhere next time we're nearby.

The room was really cold and dirty. The heater didn't work at all, and there were lots of spiders and mold.

I reserved online for two nights and checked in at 11:30 p.m. with my son and daughter. The reservation apparently was for a smoking room, though I don't remember seeing that on the site. Since none of us smoke, I declined it. The first non-smoking room had one double bed, which wasn't enough for three people, so we took the next one with two doubles. It was dingy, but it was late and we went to bed. I woke up to find two bugs on me, another on the wall and one on my daughter's pillow. Bedbugs. I got everyone up, and the shower water was barely warm. The shower head was so low I had to squat under it. We dressed, took the keys back to the office, and explained that we weren't staying the second night. I showed them pictures, and they said they'd clean the room. It needs pesticide treatment. I left without a refund because the desk sign said no refunds. I'm sure plenty of people ask for one. We went across the street to the Days Inn. It cost more, but the room was bigger and cleaner, the shower was hot, and there were no bedbugs. We were visiting the fall festival in the next town, and the motel experience really spoiled our weekend. I know it was inexpensive, but I still expected it to be clean. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

After showering, I saw a bug running across the pillow while I was drying off. I looked it up online and it was a bedbug. I got dressed, put my things back in the car, then showed the photos to the man at the front desk. He went into the room, said he couldn't see anything, locked the door and told me I could leave. He wouldn't refund me, so I had to sleep in my car. They have bedbugs. Don't stay here.
