Motel6 Bremen, GA

The coffee shop next door is great, and there’s parking behind the hotel for truck drivers. Go in by Arby’s, not the first entrance, because you can’t get around the bends that way. There’s laundry, an ice machine and vending, and it’s right off the highway with plenty of fast food you can walk to. Cops drive by often, probably because of issues, but at least they’re around. I heard the first-floor rooms are nice because my coworkers stayed there, so I gave the place two stars. The second-floor room was awful. People live at this hotel, and the service was nonexistent. It cost $86. The bathtub had months of grime, the phone had what looked like dried blood, and the floors, tables and counters were dirty. There was a hole in the screen and an overwhelming marijuana smell when I walked in. I should’ve known better with a smoking room. The wall AC and heater were loud, the bed springs dug into my back, and the bedding had holes. I barely slept and won’t return. No refrigerator, no phone plugs. It looked like a room rented by the hour. There are a lot of complaints about the place, but at least the police are around.

I slept really well because the nights were quiet, with no footsteps, talking, stairway noise or slamming car doors. The parking lot was clean and easy to get around, there was hot water, and the place is pet friendly. It’s right off an exit, with several fast food spots and a coffee shop within walking distance. Walmart and other stores and restaurants are a five-minute drive away. I found bugs and roaches, though, and they made the room uncomfortable, especially with a pet. They need a pest control plan. I also used two Swiffer pads on the floor, and both came up black and filthy. It was obvious the floor hadn’t been properly cleaned between reservations in a very long time. Several lights and a few outlets didn’t work, and there were no ground-floor rooms available when I stayed. Even with those problems, I’d recommend motel 6 to others. The good points outweighed the bad, but there are a few things to keep in mind.

My truck had a big X keyed into the passenger door, and the rooms were overpriced. It just isn’t what it was when I stayed here in 2021.

The room was comfortable and clean. I had to kill one cockroach, but thankfully didn’t spot any more. The bed and pillows were much more comfortable than at the last motel 6 we stayed in. Corey at the front desk did a great job!
