Super Inn Pensacola

We’ve made this our Pensacola area spot and have stayed here three years running. We’re already planning to come back next year. It’s an easy, about 20-minute drive to Pensacola Beach, with Walmart nearby for beach snacks and supplies in the morning and plenty of food choices around. The rooms have always been clean, the A/C is ice cold, and the place is no-frills, which suits us since we spend most of our time at the beach. The property is well kept, lit at night, and under video surveillance, which gives us peace of mind. The owners and staff are welcoming and friendly, and even remembered us from earlier visits. We forgot to take pictures, but the rooms are nice, with fresh paint and new hard flooring instead of smelly old carpet. We love it and recommend it to people heading to the area.

When I tried to book a last-minute night, the owner wanted $100. I asked him to match Booking.com, which showed $59, but he told me to check online again and then marked the hotel sold out so I couldn’t see the price. I was in the parking lot, which was empty, and the hotel was nowhere near sold out. It was also run down when I arrived, nothing like the photos online. I wouldn’t recommend this place. They’ll scam you.

The rooms were fairly spacious, and the price was decent for what we got. But small roaches were wandering around in the morning, and the shower broke after the first use. Service wasn’t great either: I waited 20 minutes to check out because nobody was at the desk. Then someone opened our door in the morning without knocking.

The room was decent, but the bathroom shower tiles were falling out after what looked like a badly done update or modification. The linens were stained and dirty, and the location was okay, though not ideal for people with small children. This Super 8 also doesn’t offer bed and breakfast items.
