Sonesta ES Suites Nashville Brentwood

I was lucky to ride out Tennessee’s 2026 ice storm at Sonesta ES Suites. I wish I could give it ten stars. I joined the line in the lobby with other people trying to get out of powerless homes. The staff looked exhausted and stretched thin, yet every one of them stayed patient and kind. They even managed a little humor that got some smiles from our frazzled group. The room wasn’t brand new, but it felt like the staff had put real care into making it a temporary home. It was warm, clean, organized, and fresh smelling. The toiletries were good quality, the kitchen had what we needed, and the walls, ceiling, and floors kept outside noise out. I travel a lot for work, and caring staff matter more to me than an expensive or brand-new room. Breakfast started early and was kept stocked. My family loved the breakfast burritos. Thank you all!

We chose this place because it allowed dogs and the rate was reasonable. Early check-in and late checkout were both available for an extra $10 an hour, though the state of the room didn’t suggest cleaning was the reason for that charge. There was a nice pond with ducks outside, but the view was through windows with dead bugs in the sills. I found a dead spider and stink bug in the window, dog slobber on the windows, and live stink bugs and ladybugs in the kitchen. It didn’t smell like dog, though clearly this is a dog hotel. It seemed like nearly every guest had one. I’ve stayed in other places that allow dogs where it wasn’t so obvious. I wish we’d brought our own linens. The mattress and pillows were comfortable, but small. The beds seemed full size rather than queen, though perhaps I’m just used to a king. The ceiling looked water-damaged and was peeling.

Kiemion at the front desk kindly took care of a couple of small things that needed attention. The hotel was more than enough for us, with spacious suites and a good continental breakfast selection, including several hot items and a fully automatic pancake maker. We had room to set up our pets’ pen on the tiled kitchenette area. It was also safe and quiet for walking the dogs, with a trail behind the property.

The room was clean, and the price seemed fair for what you get. It’s in a business park, conveniently close to the highway and restaurants. The front desk staff were friendly, while the breakfast was just mid. We requested a room with a fireplace, but you have to bring your own wood. There’s also a fireplace, BBQ grill, pool, and basketball court. Bring your own cleaning supplies for the grill.
