Chapel Hill Motel

We were only passing through, so I can’t say what there is to do nearby. The place itself was fine: clean rooms, everything working, and a very nice manager. Some rooms don’t have AC, but the weather was pleasant, so that didn’t bother us.

We’re looking for somewhere to live year-round and drove up for a night to check the place out. The rooms are spacious and clean, but Duston has a serious attitude problem. He came up to us as if we were a threat. We were told five times that he’d call the owner to find out whether they’re open all year. Four days later, there was still no answer. When I kept calling, Dusty got an attitude. We’re supposed to rent from them until October, then be put out in the snow with nowhere to go. They don’t care about you, just the money they can take from you. Don’t stay here, just keep driving.

I just needed somewhere to sleep, and this worked out fine. The price was reasonable, and the beds were clean and comfortable. I wasn’t here on vacation, so I don’t know what there is to do around the area, but I’d stay here again without hesitation.

The view was beautiful to wake up to. It was clean and well kept, and for a last-minute place it was great. It cost $100, but after a long drive, that was okay.
