Annabelle B.
I’ve stayed in some awful motels, but this was the worst. The room itself was actually clean. The problem was the night manager on 09/08/20, or whoever was working that shift. My friend had booked a room so he could sleep near a job he had the next day. I hadn’t booked it and had never been inside the office, so I didn’t know dogs weren’t allowed. I came by late with my quiet, well-behaved seven-year-old dog just to drop off some of his things. He was already asleep. I went into the room after briefly speaking with the guest in the neighboring room. A couple of minutes later I heard that guest outside saying, “At least talk to her first, come on man she's awake just talk to her.” There wasn’t other traffic, so I figured it was about me. I opened the door and found an angry, red-faced middle-aged man pointing at me and saying he was calling the cops while writing down my license plate. I calmly tried to explain that I truly hadn’t known about the dog rule, it wasn’t my room, and I was leaving right away. That didn’t satisfy him. He tried to enter my friend’s room while he was asleep to kick him out. I shut the door with the manager outside before he could slip in. He banged on it until my friend woke up, then kicked me, my friend, and the neighboring guest out without refunds. That guest was thrown out for asking him not to yell and saying he was being unfair. None of that was needed. I hadn’t known about the policy, had never been to the motel before, and was already leaving with my dog when he threatened to call the police. This man-baby is out of his god bless'd mind. Don’t stay here unless you want to get yelled at, ripped off, and left without a decent place to sleep.
