The staff were the best part of our stay. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the bartender was great. We tried the drink specials, a Bloody Mary and a black cherry old fashioned, and liked both. We ate dinner at the nearby TGI Fridays, though the hotel menu looked good too. We were here for the night before an event in Elkins, WV. The room was surprisingly spacious, more like a little apartment with its couches and wardrobes. The older style was kept up well, and we slept great even though the bed looked a bit worn at first. It had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker with four servings. The bathroom was large, the shower was great, and it had lots of shelves. I also liked that the handle wasn’t directly under the faucet. The common areas were in good shape, and the firepit out back was lit. The pool was small and a little dated, but it was still nice to swim in warm water during winter. The room technology felt dated too, with no USB outlets or built-in streaming, and the views aren’t special. Those were minor downsides for us. If you need to stay nearby, this is a great choice.

The location just off I-79 was convenient, and we couldn’t hear the highway at all. We stayed after a WVU game and found the staff friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious, the bed was clean and pretty comfortable, and the bathroom was very clean. I especially liked the walk-in shower. I’d stay here again.

The evening front desk lady was awesome, and the hotel was immaculate, with very clean, spacious rooms. The water took forever to get hot. Still, this is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in. Thanks.

I travel for business often, and this wasn’t what I want to find at a hotel. During my one-night stay three weeks ago, the bedsheets in my room smelled as if they hadn’t been washed in a long time. I’m glad I was only there for the night. Please make sure the room cleaning crew stays on top of the sheets.

We recently held a company event at this hotel, and it was the best experience we’ve had at a venue. The whole staff was courteous and went out of their way to accommodate us. I’d highly recommend it for an event or a stay in the area.
