Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bridgeport

For one night, it was a decent place to stay. The room was small but cozy and clean, and the staff were nice. It’s conveniently located off the highway, the shower pressure was good, and the heat and AC worked fine. Free breakfast was decent too. The parking lot is badly damaged and needs repaving.

This feels like my second home away from home, and it’s perfectly close to work. Check-in and checkout are easy. The room is always clean, with soft, clean sheets, and I don’t get the allergic reactions I’ve had at other hotels from their laundry detergent. I’m hypersensitive to bleach, but I haven’t needed to bring my own sheets or pillowcase here. The bathroom is spotless, with no gross stains, and there’s no overwhelming bleach smell.

We’ll definitely stay here again. My husband and I were here in early October 2025, when hotel prices along our route had risen quite a bit. We hadn’t stayed at a Microtel in years, and this one was a little cheaper than some others but looked promising. It turned out better than expected in every way. The room was large, clean, comfortable, and we slept well. We were traveling with food, and when I asked about a fridge, the front desk woman kindly moved us to a room that had one without hesitation. Our cheese made it through the night! The next night we stayed at another Microtel in Walterboro, and it definitely didn’t meet this one’s standards. We won’t go back there. I also realized I’d left my electric toothbrush in its case behind. I called, and assistant manager Steve promptly checked around to see if it had been turned in. I wasn’t hopeful, but Samantha had found it. Steve mailed it to me without hesitation after I offered to pay shipping. It cost just $15, arrived a few days later, and was carefully packed in the same condition I’d left it. Thanks to everyone at this Microtel, especially Steve and Samantha, for being honest and going the extra mile for a random customer.

The price is well below what we usually pay at other hotels, so it’s a great value for my husband and me, who travel often. Our room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, the staff were very nice, and breakfast was simple but convenient to have right there in the morning. I accidentally made two separate reservations when I tried to add a night online. The staff were accommodating and rearranged things so we could stay in the same room.
