The night and day sounds here are especially varied, and if you love looking at stars, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a peaceful, well-kept nature retreat just over an hour’s drive from Yosemite National Park Visitors Centre. Clay and his wife host the place warmly, with generous touches that make it a lovely break alone or with a partner or family.

The owners were so friendly, and the place sits right in nature, where you can watch birds and even deer. The owner made us breakfast in his kitchen and told us some of the history of the place. It’s a good starting point for Yosemite Nationalpark, with both entrances accessible. Such a nice experience!

After our daily hikes in Yosemite, YosemiteBnB was a lovely retreat. The views and wildlife were beautiful, and Clay and Joy made us feel at home with all the conveniences we needed. It’s an easy commute to Mariposa and Yosemite. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, highly recommend it, and would visit again if we get the chance. Thank you, Clay and Joy!

The veranda out back has an unbelievable view of the high hills and meadow, and we saw deer, wild turkeys, and all kinds of birds. Flowers and lush landscaping surround the hammock, comfortable chairs, and gliders, so there are plenty of spots to relax. Our room came with a mini fridge, Kuerig machine, electric kettle, microwave, and snacks, both salty and sweet. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully served on china, with plenty to get the day in the park started. We loved the place and all the thoughtful touches. We didn’t mind the distance from the valley, though that’s why I took off a star.

We spent a lot of the evenings on the rear patio, looking over a deep valley full of wild turkeys and different birds. Hummingbirds would come within feet of us for a late drink, and sometimes twenty or more crowded around the feeders. Breakfast was fun too, with different visitors each morning, lots of conversation, and ideas about what to see. The bed-and-breakfast itself is a beautiful spot on the hill, surrounded by wildlife, with comfortable, well-appointed rooms. Wi-fi worked well for planning our Yosemite days. It’s just a little way from Mariposa, the gateway to Yosemite National Park, and the drive into the park, via either of the two routes, was some of the most inspiring scenery I’ve ever seen. By the time you reach the park, you’re immersed in nature and the winding mountain roads. It was a really enjoyable stay.
