Comfort Inn St. Louis Airport

I’ve stayed at the Crowne Plaza and the Embassy suites right next door. Both are dated, but much nicer than this place. The bathroom door had a hole where someone’s head had gone through, and instead of fixing it properly, they’d filled it with what looked like spray foam. When we found lots of little hairs in the bed and went downstairs, the sheets clearly hadn’t been changed. They said they couldn’t move us despite a mostly empty parking lot, and offered what looked like a tablecloth for the bed. We went back for proper sheets and got some, but when we asked if another room might have the same problem, the desk staff didn’t know. I travel a lot, and this was the worst place I’ve stayed. Don’t trust the four-star rating. Two stars at best.

Twice a year I come back here, mostly because the parking lot security lets them keep an eye on my car. That makes me feel much safer during my stay. The rooms are decent enough, and the staff are helpful.

The beds were clean, and I felt safe, which helped redeem the stay a bit. Still, I wouldn’t come back. Breakfast was mostly inedible, and my husband actually spit out the biscuit and gravy. We also pointed out smelly trash with gnats beside the trash can. The desk staff were nice and said housekeeping would take care of it, but the cleaners only moved it. The room floors were dirty too.

The front desk woman was a big help when I had trouble getting a room online. It’s also in a good spot for the airport. The shower pressure was low, and the pillows were little squares, which was interesting :)
