Super 8 by Wyndham Bridgeview/Chicago Area

The bathroom was the worst part. There was hair left in the shower from previous guests, which felt disgusting and unsanitary. The bed looked hastily made and unfinished, and the sheets didn't smell clean or fresh. Dust and visible stains were on the counters and even the walls as soon as we walked in. The room felt neglected and poorly maintained, and the cleanliness was unacceptable. A motel should at least meet that basic standard, but this one didn't. I wouldn't recommend this Super 8 Motel.

This was an okay stay, nothing especially good or terrible. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and everything in the room worked. Rates were reasonable, the area was quiet, and Midway Airport was a decent distance away. Food choices were within walking distance, too. Since all the rooms connect to the central lobby, it felt safer than a motel. The building is older and could use a remodel. The carpet looked dingy and worn, and some fixtures seemed dated. Your experience may vary.

The location was convenient, and it was quiet, inexpensive, and comfortable in temperature and humidity. There was no smoke smell, either. The staff weren't helpful, and the room wasn't very clean. There was toothpaste on the wall, different kinds of hair in the shower, a shower curtain broken in two places, grime on the toilet seat, a dirty carpet, stains on the bed, and a broken door latch. They were out of shampoo and lotion. I've stayed at worse Super 8s, but this wasn't one of the better ones. You get what you pay for.

The location and service were fine, and the kid at the front desk was nice. The room was dirty and hadn't been cleaned properly. Cup rings and dried stains were left on the countertops. There was a long poop stain on the underside of the toilet lid, and no toilet paper in the bathroom. It smelled a little odd, though maybe that's just me. If the obvious basics are being missed, it makes you wonder what else isn't getting cleaned.
