I felt my family and I were profiled, and left very unhappy. We’d driven ten hours cramped in a van with nine people. At 6:30 am, about 15 minutes away and on the day of check-in, I called the front desk to ask about checking in early. They said yes because occupancy was low. We arrived and paid for the rooms and deposits. There was a large bag of trash by the elevator, which I photographed. In our room, I noticed dust on top of the refrigerator and filthy dishes and dishwasher. The beds looked like someone had jumped or lain on them. Staff said the arrival bags were only for diamond and platinum members. That wouldn’t have bothered me if I hadn’t seen a silver member get one too. On the second day, my children were at the pool and were told they could have only two towels per person. The next day, checkout day, we were told the pool was out of order. We were leaving anyway, so I didn’t make an issue of it. We had a 1 pm checkout, but at 1:02 they knocked and threatened a late fee, giving us 15 minutes to leave. At the front desk, I saw two $50 charges on each of my rooms. I asked for the supervisor who’d added them, but was told she was no longer there. No supervisor or MOD was on duty for me to speak with. They told me to walk next door to a hotel where I hadn’t booked a room to discuss the charges. I called my boss to check a few things, took their names, and said I’d contact corporate. They disregarded what I told them, including the room photos. This was meant to be our first vacation of the year, with my mother, stepdad, and all my children, but it was disturbing and I felt judged. THE VACATION FROM HELL. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, and I’ll be contacting corporate.
