Ken and his family deserve to know how much they're appreciated. The Brimley Motel is quiet, feels like home, and you can see the lakeshore from the parking lot. There’s plenty of space for friends, including a long XL leather couch, and the two large bedrooms came in handy. Ken also gave us helpful local suggestions for dining and shopping. His renovations and modern amenities make for a really pleasant stay. The place is spotless, and the Harbor Bay pillows are fantastic for my busted neck and fibromyalgia. He even bought new pillows and kindly gave me a few. They aren't cheap, but they’re an ergonomic perfect fit, and I sleep like a baby every time. The linens and towels smelled fresh and clean all week, too. I love staying here and will be back soon to hunt yooperlites. Search around this quaint little town and I guarantee you won’t go home empty handed!

This is our favorite place to stay in the U.P. The motel rooms are really nice and clean, with a kitchenette and comfortable beds.

It’s spacious and feels like home. The location works for work trips or a getaway: close enough to Sault St Marie to pick up anything you forgot at a box store, but far enough out to reach the trails.

The bed and pillows were so comfortable, I slept on a cloud. Our room was lovely, and I’m already thinking about staying here in July. I have three months to recover from surgery, and a visit here would be ideal. I want every vacation to be at Brimley Motel Suites now, it’s the best place ever. We’ve stayed twice in 2025 so far, and maybe we’ll make it three this year. I hope we have a great summer and can do much more in the UP. I wish I could be there now!

Brimley Motel made a great impression during my few days in the upper peninsula, especially since I visited before the summer crowds. My room was tidy, clean, and smelled fresh, with a full little kitchenette, WiFi, and full cable TV. There’s also a very nice state park with a sandy beach on Lake Superior just three minutes away. 10/10, I’d happily come back to the area.
