Willabees Motel

The room wasn’t touched while we were out, even though housekeeping said they would come at 12:30. We also had trouble getting towels that weren’t stained. We asked for replacements three times, waited about 20 minutes each time, and every set was still stained. At check-in and checkout, nobody was at the front desk, and we had to wait to get our room. The only person who tried to help seemed to be a child, perhaps 13 and possibly related to an employee, who offered to look for towels when staff did not. We called the number provided several times and still had to wait. There were no iron or hair dryers despite the advertised amenities. The cleanliness standards and professionalism were very poor, and the management seemed poor as well. I would not recommend this hotel.

It was a clean place to stay, the front desk staff were friendly, and they allowed dogs. Unfortunately, the restaurant next door that so many people said was good is gone now.

The room was so clean it felt like you could eat off the floor, and the beds were made perfectly. The mattress and pillows were comfortable enough that I was out like a light. The owner was a saint: she kept the front desk open late for my arrival, moved me to a lower room when she saw I couldn't manage the stairs, and told me about local attractions. Next time I need a place in the Soo area, I’ll stay at Willabee's.

We spent three nights here while visiting the casino and using the trails. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet, with great access to the SxS trails. The casino and golf course are only a few minutes away. We’ll be back!
