The Bristol Hotel

We spent the weekend of October 10th at The Bristol Hotel in Tennessee for our niece’s wedding, and the staff made the whole visit feel warm and welcoming from the start. The rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed, a good place to relax between wedding events. The team who helped with the reception deserves a big thank you: Haley H, Sarah S, Chandler, Rhaine, Kania, Dustin, Sarah N, Haley G, Anthony, Ruth, and Blake. They were professional, kind, and brought great energy, making the celebration feel easy and joyful. Laundry, Emily, and Chance also did a lot to keep things running smoothly, and their leadership and care made a special weekend even more memorable. It's a gem for a wedding or a visit to Bristol, and we can't wait to return.

The live Blues band was out of this world, and the drinks were delicious. The wait staff were so friendly and accommodating from the moment I walked into The Bristol Hotel that I almost felt like a VIP, maybe even famous. I seriously thought about quitting my day job just to hear that music every night. I've traveled around Europe, Central America, the Middle East, and Asia, and lived and worked in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Of all the hotels I've stayed at in the United States, this is the best. It could fit right in with the lavish spots in those cities. Bristol is setting the bar high. Can't wait to come back for more good vibes!

The room smelled like someone had peed on the chair, and there was a visible stain on the only chair. We didn't notice until after our Valentine's night, and when we went to the desk, nobody was there. In the morning they apologized and took 40 off the bill. I appreciate the gesture, but there was no follow-up, and honestly this should have been a full refund. I'd wanted to leave a positive review, but the hotel has a lot of problems. It was dirty the first time I stayed too, though I didn't have proof. UPDATE: The room manager got in touch and said they wouldn't do anything because I officially notified them in the morning, since nobody had been at the desk at night.

We got back to the room close to 11:00 p.m. on Valentine's night and found a large urine stain on the only chair. It looked and smelled like urine. There had been no one at the desk when we went down at night, so we officially reported it in the morning. They apologized and took 40 off the bill, but there was no follow-up. I still think the right response should have been a full refund. The room manager later emailed to say they couldn't do anything because the complaint was only officially made in the morning, when a desk attendant was available. This should never have happened in the first place. Apparently we're expected to check that the room isn't soaked with urine ourselves. I'd wanted to write something positive, but the hotel has too many issues. On my first stay it was dirty too, though I had no proof.
