Martin House Motel

My granddaughter got a room here, but there was no toilet paper, the TV didn’t work, and used towels were left on the bathroom floor.

It was clean, though it needed a deeper cleaning. I liked the strict no-smoking rule, with smoking areas outside, and the staff were very friendly. The place felt cozy and safe. It could use some updates, like adding bathroom fans. There’s no breakfast, just coffee, tea, and vending machines.

I grew up in town but had never paid attention to this place or stayed there. My wife, me, and two teenage girls needed somewhere for one night after Best Western couldn’t accommodate us. It was a nice little spot to rest, nothing fancy, but the hometown service was friendly. I’d pick it over Best western anyway.

The rooms are clean, and the staff are really nice. That stands out after some of the disgusting hotels I’ve stayed in. I’d come back if I get the chance.
