Hampton Inn Brookhaven

The rooms are always great, and the hotel is right off the highway. They're animal friendly, too. The staff are great, especially the lovely woman who makes breakfast. She's been there 20 years or more, and you can tell. She's so sweet, kind, and helpful.

My stay was fine apart from a security concern. The hotel was being renovated, and for some reason the crew had a master key that could open my room. I wasn't sure how I felt about that, but this was the only option I had in the area.

The elevator ride felt rough and came with loud, unpleasant noises. My room also needed a more thorough cleaning, and old repairs were easy to see. Breakfast was disappointing compared with other Hampton properties, and the front desk interaction wasn't especially friendly. My stay at the Hampton Inn in Brookhaven, MS was average at best.

The last three stays brought a broken toilet, a room light that didn't work, and a loud knocking A/C and heating unit. Each time, all I heard was, "Sorry, we're booked." I have family nearby and few hotel options, so I kept ending up here, but it used to be much nicer. The service and quality have gone downhill, and I'm done with this place. I'd rather drive another hour to stay at a Marriott property.
