Motel 6 Brookhaven, MS

We chose this hotel quickly because we had to travel with our three pets that week for a family member's funeral. While showering, water seeped into the walls, came up from beneath the baseboards, and flooded the room before draining away. The strong smell of mold and stagnant water made my asthma flare up and left me struggling to breathe. The front desk responded quickly and moved us upstairs to a room without those problems, though there was still mold in the tub caulking. I gave three out of five stars for the prompt move, while the two-star rating reflects the property's overall condition, lack of upkeep, and the activity allowed on site. Over several nights we saw actual drug transactions, prostitution in cars and an 18-wheeler, and groups lingering outside smoking marijuana, as well as people sitting in cars doing drugs. I wouldn't recommend this place or stay here again.

Mr Allen was very professional and friendly the whole time, and smiled throughout. He found me the best prices, got us into the room three hours early since we were in town ahead of time, and accommodated my dog by putting us in a grassy area. This was one of the best Motel 6 check-in experiences I've had in years. I'll definitely be back. Thank you, Mr Allen. It was a pleasure meeting you.

Cheyenne has a nasty attitude toward customers. This nasty desk clerk will cost this morel money and customers.

The mattress welcomed me with open arms. It was so comfortable that my three-hour nap felt like a full night's sleep. The room was a little humid at first, but turning on the A/C quickly fixed that. In the morning, we were short on towels and couldn't find an iron or ironing board in the room, so walking downstairs to get them was a little inconvenient. Still, for the short time I was there, it did what I needed. I checked out at 5 am the next morning and would definitely stay again, remembering to ask for extra towels and bring my own iron. Thanks, Mr. Paul, for your outstanding customer service. He was so helpful and friendly every time I called, and I called a lot that first night while making my reservation. We checked in at 5:30 am, and he could see I was exhausted, so he made it as quick as possible.
