The room was a nice size and clean, and the owner was nice. But hidden lights near the furniture kept switching on in the middle of the night. First one came on by the base of the bed, then the bedside stand did it twice. A family member staying in another room had the same thing happen. I’ve never had anything like this in a hotel. I told the owner, but got no explanation, just “I’ll fix it.” Why have hidden lights by the furniture that turn on and off by themselves? The morning coffee was lukewarm too, ugh.

I called ahead and booked a first-floor handicap room. They said yes, but when we arrived, we were put on the second floor with stairs. I can't walk and use a wheelchair. I'm furious. This felt like bait and switch.

I'm a picky sleeper, and I was very happy here. The room and bed were spotless. It was dark enough to sleep, with effective blackout curtains and no intrusive lights. I heard a little outside noise because my room was over the front door, but otherwise it was quiet, and I couldn't hear other rooms. The AC worked well as white noise and had a fan setting for constant sound, though it was very old and might be replaced soon. Breakfast was serviceable, the service was friendly, and I recommend the place.
