Embassy Suites Minneapolis - North

We picked this hotel because it connects to the Heritage Center Venue, where we were attending a wedding reception. It felt secure and had plenty of parking. The front desk staff were friendly, and check-in was easy. We only stayed one night, but the room was quiet, spotless, and well stocked. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. We skipped the complimentary breakfast, though family staying at the same time said the restaurant food was amazing.

My cousins and I can’t wait to come back to this Embassy Suites Hilton Hotel on December 24, 2026. We stayed six nights in 2025, when I celebrated my 37th birthday here on Christmas Eve, and we all had a great time. My cousins loved the breakfast and especially the pool and hot tub. I’ve also been here around the same time the previous year with these cousins, and they liked it a lot then too. I’m happy to be a Hilton Honors member and enjoy my stays here. The people at the front desk were really cool. The person who works at the bar was nice and easy to talk to. The chef who cooks the almond did a good job, and the housekeeping lady was so nice. Whenever she knocked, she asked if I needed new tiles, and she was never rude. This has been the coolest Embassy Suites I’ve visited, and I appreciate being treated so kindly. The staff were friendly, and the hotel was very clean. The bar and breakfast area were pleasant and quiet, and the patio looks like it’d be nice in warmer weather. As a Honors member, I thought I might get something, perhaps waters, but nothing was offered and nobody acknowledged my membership. I’d still recommend the hotel.

The staff were friendly and receptive, and the amenities this Embassy Suites is known for are handled well. The custom omelets were good, the evening reception lasted an hour and a half with pleasant bartenders and reasonably decent snacks, and the suites are laid out so the TV noise stays in your own room. Still, it feels like the hotel is being kept afloat with only essential repairs and reasonable service. It’s out of the way of anything convenient or meaningful and feels like a remnant of Brooklyn Center’s past prime. It seems like they’re waiting until they have to close it. A lot of the building is dated, and it keeps reminding you. Old HD TVs sit with decor from around the 1990s. The furniture is reasonably comfortable, and the beds seem current, but I’m not sure what’s been updated beyond the sheets and those older TVs. The elevator had broken letters. My room was missing supplies, and the refillable lotion and hand soap hadn’t been restocked. Only half the lamp worked, so the two beds had to share one charger.
