Getting to the far side of the bed meant squeezing through the gap between it and the wall. The room was so tiny there wasn’t even space for a chair. I didn’t bother checking the tiny, sorry, mini fridge. There was a bed and bathroom, so I guess it counts as a room, but I couldn’t tell if it was a closet at first. If you want a small, bare-bones room, maybe it’s for you. If not, there’s a good chance you’ll hate it. SMH.

The room is extremely small, even smaller than a closet. At least the train station is basically just down the block, so it’s really convenient.

The price is lower than most places, the colors are nice, and the staff are friendly. We had two beds and a nice bathroom. Love it.

The room was much too small, though the bed was great. The coffee maker didn’t work. The shower needs an upgrade: its water trap comes loose when you step on it, and the curtain should be replaced with a glass door.

It’s called Essence now. The location is excellent, close to restaurants, bars, the subway, Barclays, and shopping. The staff are really friendly, and the place is clean and safe. The rooms are small, but that’s pretty typical for New York City unless you pay a lot more.
