Homewood Suites by Hilton Broomfield Boulder

We come back every year for the lovely courtyard, great breakfast, and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is clean, and every employee greets you with a warm smile. The housekeepers are especially kind and helpful. Ksana was particularly lovely when she greeted me Sunday morning. I can’t say enough good things about the staff and this hotel.

Coming here each year has become a family tradition, and the hotel keeps making us feel welcome. It’s clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff are friendly and professional. We’ll keep returning, and I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a pleasant, reliable stay.

After a tiring travel day, we got to the hotel around midnight with our three kids and learned they’d overbooked the two-bedroom room we needed. We’d made the reservation months earlier. Staff spent an hour trying but couldn’t arrange adjoining rooms or offer another solution, so we were stranded. Fortunately, we managed to book the Renaissance next door. Homewood’s front desk said renovations had reduced availability compared with what the computer showed. I’d avoid this place or make sure you have a backup plan.

The courtyard was a nice place to relax, with grills, fire pits, and outdoor games, and the location is great for walking to most things. Checkout was easy and friendly. The rest of the stay was mixed. At check-in, the front desk employee wasn’t friendly, which wasn’t the service I expect as an honors member. The hallways were very hot with no ventilation. Our spacious two-bedroom queen suite had a broken office chair, no conditioner in the shower, sheets that barely fit, and blankets that felt like curtains. The rooms wouldn’t cool below about 68°. The bathroom light switch was outside the bathroom, which felt weird. Breakfast was disappointing: bland potatoes, tasteless lukewarm eggs, and greasy bacon. There was one ice machine and no ice bucket in the room; the bottle-filling station was down the hall and around the corner, past a broken men’s room. We stayed out most of the remaining time and didn’t visit the pool or gym.
