Brownsville Motel

The place has a quaint feel, a pretty view, and comfortable, clean beds. Management and the women who service the rooms are so kind, and treat everyone like family. The weekly rates are excellent. There’s lots nearby for a family to do outdoors, including camping, fishing, swimming, hiking, and more. There’s a great park and softball field across the road. I highly recommend this little treasure for families or couples who want fresh air away from the city bustle.

The owner answered promptly when we called around midnight, and moved us to another room that didn’t have any bugs. He said workers had been going in and out of the room next door, which may have brought the roaches in. The customer service was amazing, and the location was convenient, close to the town, events, and stores. The first room was beautiful and a great price, but it had an attached door. Roaches kept peeking in and sometimes coming into our room, until it got to be too much. My sister and I would highly recommend the place after the room change. It was a beautiful room.

We stayed here with our bass fishing club on 10-11-24, and everyone enjoyed the visit. I was in room 14, which was clean and comfortable, with a small fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. The woman who checked us in was very nice and helped make the stay a good one. It’s a beautiful, quiet little town. We had a peaceful evening sitting outside, talking and having some drinks. I’d definitely stay here again.

It’s a bit out of the way from the interstate, but if it’s along your route, or you’re looking for somewhere safe, quiet, and peaceful off the main road, this place is great. The staff were accommodating about our late arrival, and we were grateful to find it. My boyfriend, cat, and I had a great stay. The room was really clean, a nice change from the big chain motels that had us buying a black light for our long road trip. We didn’t spot a single mark on the bedding, and each room has its own decor. Thank you!
