Located in Brownsville, our Mount Ascutney Resort is a mountainside retreat, perfect for both couples’ getaways and outdoor family vacations. The resort features a farm-to-table restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, an arcade and tennis courts. For beautiful views of the Green Mountain state, head to the tippy top of Mt. Ascutney State Park or hit the slopes at Mt. Sunapee or Killington. Or go rafting, kayaking and hiking to see the area’s gorgeous fall foliage.
In between mountain adventures, discover the quaint towns of Quechee and Windsor, play a round of golf at a nearby course, or check out some of Vermont’s hot spots, like Harpoon Brewery, Quechee Gorge, Simon Pearce restaurant and glassblowers, Billings Farm and Museum, Sugarbush Farm and more.
Our mountain resort in Mt. Ascutney features spacious one-, two- and three-bedroom villas, some with two stories, from 970 to 1, 600 square feet. Families love the spacious living room, full-sized kitchen and convenient laundry facilities on property.

We went in the fall for the changing leaves, and the scenery was lovely everywhere we looked. IHOOT set us up with a great suite at the Holiday Inn Club Vacations – Mount Ascutney Resort. It was clean, quiet, and well kept, with plenty of parking. The grounds had activities, including an indoor pool, pool table, and movie room, though we spent our time exploring the area instead. The two-story suite had a kitchen, living room, and dining room downstairs, then two bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. The kitchen had everything needed to cook. Nearby, we found old towns with local shops, hiking trails, and covered bridges. We’re looking forward to coming back every couple of years or so. Fall is a lovely time to visit.

The property is peaceful and beautiful, with gorgeous scenery all around. Our room was comfortable, clean, and spacious, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. There were lots of activities, and it was a lovely place to relax and recharge. We can’t wait to return to Holiday Inn Club Vacations – Mount Ascutney Resort.

I could happily live in a hotel like this. 🥹 It felt like home, with spacious rooms, high ceilings, and a skylight. There was room for up to six people, plus our gear and other things, so I never felt cramped. It also had a full kitchen and a roomy dining area. And you can have s’mores at night! 😍

The resort was really clean, though it felt a bit dated. It looks like they’ve started remodeling a few buildings. I’d like to see more to do on site, maybe hot tubs, a bar, and more activities. There’s plenty nearby, including state parks, skiing, farmers markets, historic spots, covered bridges, wineries, and breweries.

The grounds and room were wonderful, and the staff were friendly. But both restaurants connected with the Inn were scheduled to be closed midweek, so there was nowhere to eat. I understand shorter hours in the off season, but we weren’t told ahead of time. That kept this from being a perfect stay.
