Best Western Plus Riata

The rooms, breakfast, and property were what I expect from a Best Western, but the service this time has put me off coming back. My first stay here went smoothly. On this visit, I asked Patricia at check-in if I could switch the card used for the room. She said the third party I booked through had already put a hold on my card and would require her to charge the original card if she changed it. I travel for work and use that same third party often, and had never heard that before. They also hadn't heard of it, so they called the hotel while I was on hold and came back saying it was hotel policy. The next morning Patricia repeated the explanation, then said she'd check with a credit card company and leave a note for the checkout staff. At checkout, nobody at the desk knew anything about it. Patricia was nice, but I can't tell whether she was lying, didn't want to handle it, or didn't know how. She gave me incorrect information and said she'd follow up, but didn't. I visit the area for work often and won't choose Best Western again.

The halls and stairwells could use an update, but the room was clean and nice, and the check-in staff were friendly. It's a decent spot to sleep for a couple of days, and I'd come back.

Breakfast was free and had lots of choices, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was clean when we arrived. We'll stay here again 😋

It's been almost a week and nobody has helped sort out the double charge. I paid when I booked, four days before the reservation, then the hotel charged me again. Patricia, the “manager,” has been extremely rude, hanging up on people and claiming she's the owner. She won't provide information for reaching a supervisor or anyone besides herself.
