Hammer Creek Hideaway

My in-laws came away raving about their weekend here. The garden and landscaping looked beautiful, and I hear breakfast was delicious. They found the rooms clean and cozy, with more of a home feel than a typical hotel. The owner even got out of bed at 2:30 a.m. to make sure they could get in, despite their very early arrival.

The three-course breakfasts are so good, and the place is almost spotless. Karen and Mil are gracious and go out of their way to help with what you need. This was another amazing visit to our favorite B&B in Amish Country. You really should give it a try, missing a chance to stay here means missing a real treat.

We came to Hammer Creek for our 13th wedding anniversary, and the weekend had great conversation and plenty of good food. Karen and Mil know the area well and can point you toward places to see based on what you enjoy. Karen also made sure to accommodate my food allergies, and her three-course breakfasts were delicious each morning. I even went home with farm eggs from her chickens! Our Prestige Sweet was on the main living floor, just off the common area, but it still felt private. The heavy maroon drapes over the French doors helped, and there was very little noise. The view from the room was terrific, and we'd like to return when the leaves change color. The bed was extremely comfortable, too. I highly recommend staying with Karen and Mil, and we'll definitely be back.

The breakfasts were delicious, and we enjoyed getting to know Karen and Mil. They're friendly, welcoming hosts, and the home itself feels lovely, comfortable, and homey. I'd recommend staying here even to travelers who are hard to please. We hope to come back when we're in the area again.
