Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Brunswick I-95, GA

Room 218, 02/14/26. The upstairs noise was so loud it felt like people were in our room. We called the front desk very late to ask them to quiet things down, but nothing changed. At breakfast the yogurt was expired, the bread was old, hard, and stale, and the eggs and sausage were far too watery. The coffee was just okay. The bed was awful and the pillows flattened under our heads. There was so much bleach on the sheets that my legs burned. In the bathroom, the sink faucet was too short to use without touching the unclean basin, the shower faucet had what looked like 20 years of mold and mildew in it, and the light fixture covers were broken. The lamp shade was busted too. There were three different kinds and colors of human hair still in the shower, which was disgusting, and the room smelled strongly of dog. We asked to have it sprayed while we went to dinner, but I don't think anyone did. When we came back to put our food in the fridge, there was a dead roach inside. There was also a lot of water damage beneath the fridge and on the TV console. There was more, but too much to list. Radisson, I expected a lot better from one of your hotels. This Country Inn and Suites needs to be shut down, torn down, and rebuilt.

For an 8 day stay, the housekeeping setup was frustrating. I asked for daily service as the sign instructed, and the front desk confirmed it was on my account, but I still had to track down housekeeping nearly every day. Sometimes it was too late by then. I only smelled cleaning chemicals on my last night, so it seemed like they had just made the bed and swept. The soap and shampoo dispensers were never refilled, and when I moved the couch to retrieve something, the mess underneath was pretty gross. Breakfast was the same each day. It wasn't bad, though other places switch things up with a folded egg or sausage patty. I did love the indoor pool and hot tub. It's a decent place in a decent area, reasonably priced, and I slept okay. If housekeeping could get coordinated, I'd rate it higher.

The indoor pool was a real plus, especially since it was raining and we could still swim. Everyone seemed to work well together, including the housekeepers, and the breakfast attendant kept the room stocked and clean. The staff were helpful and patient with our requests, even when we forgot the key card in the room. The bilingual front desk agent especially made us feel like family. The hotel and rooms were spotless when we arrived, and the sheets smelled very fresh despite it being pet friendly. My cat didn't get even one tiny flea. I'm very happy to say I plan to return.

This place is horrible, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who loves the feel of a real country inn. There was never coffee left out, and they don't provide daily room service. The furniture is painted and broken, and the rooms and bathrooms are dirty. Breakfast didn't feel like a Country Inn breakfast. It's not American owned, if you know what I mean. Sad to see another good hotel go downhill. They should have to change the name.
