Baymont by Wyndham Bryan College Station

For a motel in this category, I’d give it five stars. The room was a decent size and the price was very reasonable, and the staff were friendly. They also did regular housekeeping every day without me having to ask, making the bed and replacing used towels. I recently paid twice as much at a four star hotel where housekeeping wasn’t offered at all. It was nice to get that old school daily service.

The free breakfast was tasty, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and not expensive. This Baymont is off Hwy 21 in Bryan, TX, with Dairy Queen, Mcdonald's, a convenience store, and several other shops and restaurants within walking distance. The Baymont in CStat usually costs a bit more, so if you don't mind whether it's a motel or hotel, this could be a good option.

This was my second stay here this month, and the second time I had to argue with staff about the TV, in a different room. It got sorted out after five minutes of bad instructions, but staff had to come reset the TV in the room. The room was generally clean, though dusty under the TV, and the tub was slippery. The pictures can show the rest, too many words. On the plus side, there was a NT Bible and a large screen TV.

The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. They had little shampoo and conditioner bottles, but no lotion, hand or body soap, body wash, toothpaste, or mouthwash. Breakfast was okay, just continental.
